LIFE Groups are the heart of making connections at Crossroads.  We believe these environments help to nurture your relationship with Christ, with believer’s in the church and in reaching your friends outside the church.  In our LIFE Groups connection looks like this:

Love them, Invest in them, Fellowship with them, Encourage them

Our LIFE Groups are lead by those who play a shepherding role in your life. These shepherds pastor the people in their LIFE Group by living out our purpose and vision.  They also invest in people and create environments that develop our Mission Statement and Spiritual Growth Process.

• Meet people where they are because of the following purpose statement: “Where life intersects truth”
• Help their group live out the vision of the church: Place Jesus At The Center Of Their Life.
• Create a family environment where anyone feels accepted.  The group must learn how to love each other and must learn how to extend that out into their world.
• Challenge them to create environments where relationships can be built and spiritual connections made.  They must never stop growing spiritually and must discover how to live in right relationships with those in the church and those outside the church.
• Find and create environments that teach them how to be missional and where they get hands-on opportunities to serve others.  The group members must learn how to serve in their areas of giftedness and passion.  They must be encouraged to complete Crosstraining 301.  The shepherd must also be aware of their group members' gifts and passions in order to give people an opportunity to serve.  We seek to help guide people toward their ministry calling where they can lead and serve.
• Develop environments so that leaders within the group can be developed and investments made that allow them to lead faithfully. The following explains the leadership process in our LIFE Groups.  The shepherd develops the following shepherding roles within the group:
  • Family Environment  - Hospitality (Food Coordinator, Environment, Mentor)
  • Relational Environment - Prayer and Care (Prayer Requests, Needs, Mentor)
  • Missional Environment – Missions (Coordinates missional opportunities, Mentor)
  • Leadership Environment – Facilitator (Plans and facilitates, Mentors new leadership)
